Glossy books color rub and more

I have a few glossy, non-stapled books (not sure the technical name for them) like Akira #1 or Killing Joke (1st edition) that have some marks on the back. I always assumed this would make the grade take a huge hit, so wasn't thinking of submitting them or anything. Then I saw this...

It got a 9.8, and it looks like the back has exactly the issues I'm talking about (unless what I'm seeing is on the slab itself?). Does this kind of color rub, white marks, or whatever I'm seeing keeping the back from being a solid, shiny blue not deduct from the grade?
