Hi again chaps.

Still trying to decide on which books for my first silver age submission.

I would be interested in peoples opinion on this book.

Would I get picked up on this for the horrible colour touch that somebody has attempted or do you think I could still get a blue label for it.

Not sure what’s gone off with the front and back inner covers. The back one opens fine but the front one won’t . Not sure if it’s just glue from the binding or what ?

I realise it’s going to be a low grade but I snagged it for a really good price and it’s a book I’ve always wanted for my PC.

I’ve cleaned and pressed it as much as I dare.

Mycomicshop.com has a 2.0 for 220 USD. Yours weighs in somewhere around that or maybe 1.8 so your call as to whether it's worth grading. I'd keep raw.

Not sure I find the color touch, but my understanding is anything deemed restoration, professional or amateur, will earn you a purple label. Since the ceiling here is already low, 2ish, I also would leave it raw. Most collectors shy away from purple labels unless it's a really in demand issue and/or in really high grade otherwise. You're looking at $35 plus shipping costs both ways & a 6 month turnaround. It's more that I would invest in this particular copy if it was mine FWIW.

Then the grade really doesn't matter. 

But I would call it 2.0/2.5; restored.

from what might be bleed through around the center inside? I can at different times convince myself I see & don't see it. I live in fear of paying too much for something that has been touched up in a way that's not totally obvious, given what it does to the resell value if you grade or are honest in advertising.
