Pretty book. Obviously a little discoloration along the top edge of the BC, but I'd bet that gets a light touch given its age. 9.0 or better

Of course Friday comes and the book hits Quality Control, but not shipped. Have to wait through the weekend before learning the grade now 😒.

And pulled the 8.0. I wanted that 8.5 or higher sooo bad to have the single second highest lol, but this is a great grade so can't complain :).

Grader Notes:

The last note, light, multiple crease cover breaks color. I honestly don't recall that, but they clearly saw something I missed. Will have to take a closer look when it's back.

I'll be curious what you find. Your photos are excellent and I don't see any color-breaking cover creases at all.

Yeah I mean they could have been light enough where I didn’t pick them up in my photo and just didn’t recall them last time I looked at the book. I’d be surprised if they aren’t there, and likely CGC saw what I missed. But we’ll see.

Ok I just got the book in. Honestly not sure where they got the “light, multiple crease cover breaks color”. I can’t find anything remotely like that lol.

Also don’t see the fingerprint, but will assume they have a device that can pick that up better 🤷‍♂️. Regardless, 8.0 I guess is in the ballpark but feels a bit harsh.
