Gate13
Hi guys, I just got a copy of Tales of Suspense #98. It has a subscription crease and I’ve always had a tough time judging what that does to a book’s grade. Online research has left me more confused! 😂 anyhow, I’d love your feedback.. thanks in advance!
grendelbo
I'd call your copy a 4.0/4.5. Subscription creases on an otherwise perfect book would give you a grade in the VG+ to FN range depending on if one or both covers are affected and the color break on each. Thanks for posting. scburdet
The CGC Guide sets the range for an otherwise perfect book with a sub crease between 4.5–7.0. That sub crease looks to be from the severe end of the range, so starting at 4.5, deduct for anything else. It looks pretty solid otherwise, so I'd stay at 4.5.
