Grade is IN: The Amazing Spider-Man #361 Carnage Part One 2 2

Last one for today. I noticed this one has a number of cuts along the bottom which dig into multiple pages. I saw on Ebay some other copies had the same issue. Was wondering if it was a known manufacturing error. There are also a number of spine ticks mostly along the back. The last few photos show some markings along the interior pages.

Grade came in

These are gripper holes. Small production errors usually only negate a 9.8. I see other defects in this book, some pressable. The gripper holes on the back look like they may have torn beyond where they were at the beginning. As these get larger, they will be more likely to be treated like a regular tear. I don't see a full wide shot of the back cover, so it's hard to make a definitive grade assignment.

I don't have a great feel for when gripper holes start to really impact the grade. Pressed, I'll say 9.0/9.2

Yup. 9.0/9.2

ASM 361 is known for these gripper holes along the bottom edge.

Good presser might get you to 9.2

It seems like a majority of these copies have visible gripper holes. I'm at a 9.0 just for all the tics, dings, and creases that I see.

Hey guys it's been like 5 months, but I finally got the 8 comics I sent in to CFP to get pressed and CGC to grade, this one surprisingly got a 9.6.

Nice. I guess I should get mine graded as I'd say the gripper holes are similar or less severe that yours. Make sure to edit the original post to say "Grade Is In" instead of PGM so people know to check in
