What's going on at the TRFC? The yellow bar stops before the edge. Piece out? Stained?

I have 2 books from this lot.  Both have a "gap" before the MCG meets the right edge.  NO IDEA what happened.  But it is there :-(

I don't think it's a manufacturing error. Something's going on with the paper but I don't know what.
