Hi all, I am wondering if anyone can give me their opinion on whether a press and a clean would increase the grade on this Incredible Hulk #181 and what it might potentially go up to. Grading notes are as follows:

  1. Bottom Spine Wear Breaks Color
  2. Left Center Back Cover Small Crunch
  3. Right Bottom Front Cover Small Crease Breaks Color
  4. Right Top Front Cover Crease Breaks Color
  5. Top Back Cover Crease
  6. Top Spine Wear Breaks Color
  7. Top Whole Book Lite Rippling/Warping Through Book

Not sure why the tiny tears on the back are not mentioned and if they would keep it at an 8.0.

Thanks for looking!

Some of those defects (#5 and 7) seem pressable, and normally I'd say looks like a good candidate for a C&P buuut honestly with that tear and the other defects I think 8.0 is very good for this book to begin with. Would be hard-pressed to get an 8.5 or higher I think. That said, if you don't care about the grade and just want it to present better I'd say go for it! Could smooth it out and clean up the whites a bit to make it present better. I'm getting my own 7.0 C&P'ed and resubbed for mostly presentation reasons--any bump would be gravy but I wouldn't be heartbroken if it came back the same.

Just my opinion though, I'm sure others with more experience could speak better to this. Nice book regardless!
