Yes, I know this is not technically GA, but it is a 10-cent issue, is one of the few Katy Keene books I kept (because people were admiring her pose) and I hope no one minds that I added it.

Katy Keene #55, CGC 6.5 OW/W. 1960. When I had the book slabbed, I believe it was the only copy...it was definitely the highest copy. It's now tied for 2nd. The copy that sold recently has cream/ow pages and a partially detached staple.

I did not have this book cleaned or pressed, it's from the Bakerstown warehouse find, so there is a bit of history here. When I bought it, it was the only copy they had (I used to go in person to look through the warehouse). While there were stacks of some books, many were single issues. So the color is great because she sat in the dark for most of her life. The notes mention light foxing, I don't see any...but maybe there is a hint of something I've missed.

I have very few if any books if any left from Bakerstown  @Azkaban

Bin is $265

Comic Cavalcade #6, 1944, C/OW there are only  22 on the census.  I bought this on the boards years ago  from a seller who sold me a few book that had undisclosed resto, so I am guessing that this one does too. If you look inside the front cover (see the picture) I think there was glue added near the spine. It might be original since this is a squarebound, but I don't want to take a chance, so I'm going to grade it as an apparent 3.5. There was tape removed from the bottom of the spine and there is a 1" split. Book is complete and the cover looks nice. Last sale in anything close to this grade was 2 years ago, for a restored 5.0

Bin is $375   now $295

omic Cavalcade #7, 1944, 3.5 R pages are really nice, OW/W or better.

This is another scarce book with 27 total on the census. It was also from the same seller. There are chews on the bottom of the spine, I think the cover was detached and was reglued badly, it's about 1/8 of an inch off. The right edge and Possibly the bottom edge were trimmed.

This is the first book that used the "A Superman- DC 15-Cent Logo"

It's also the last Black Pirate.

Bin is $250.00  now $195

Planet Comics #29, CGC 3.0 C/ow, Fiction House 3/44 cover detached.
There are 37 blue labels on the census, 41 total.

There were two female artists credited in this issue, Fran Hopper and Lily Renee, something rather rare for the period.  Just a fun fact, Wikipedia says the first time Fran Hopper used her married name was in Planet issue #30, I know she drew a story in Planet #28, because I own a piece of original art from that book and it's her work.

There was a sale of a 4.5 just this month for $1260

Bin is $850.00

Planet #55, CGC 4.0 OW, 1948  Matt Baker is one of the listed artists! This is an homage cover for Jumbo #40.

Please read

Now for an interesting or annoying problem. When I went to list this book I looked at the grader's notes. They are for the wrong book. The note lists tape, color touch, archival material.  There are NO 4.0's with resto listed in the Census. I bought this from a very reputable dealer and long time friend who would not have missed color touch, tape OR reinforcement, even if *I* did...

The book was pressed, the person who pressed the book is also a friend, he's never not told me if he suspected resto that I might have missed and certainly would not have missed all 3.

Anyway, after all that;) We know that CGC sometimes confuses things...more proof.

This book is NOT restored.

Bin is $460
