Alpha Flight 7 with Marvel Questionaire attached - send in for free comics 2 2

Going through some of my comics I bought new a long time ago I came across my Alpha Flight 7.  It has the Marvel Comics survey attached.  At the time back in 1983 I was buying comics at Tales Resold in Raleigh and remembered the Comics Buyers guide had an article about Marvel doing a survey in limited comic books.  (Turns out it was Alpha Flight, Spectacular Spider-man and Star Wars) Dated Feb. 1984, on sale in Nov. 1983.  You send the survey in and get three free comics. 

I remember going through the racks of new comics and getting some not on my sub list, including this Alpha Flight 7.  Being my overly compulsive self I was looking at several to get the best copy and one felt fat.  It had the survey inside!  Of course I went through all the others but none had this survey inside.

There are none are the CGC Census that I could find.  Anyone else have one of these (or the other two) with the survey.  I would have it graded but scared CGC would just grade it like a regular edition and not mention the variant aspect since it's not in the system.  Been bagged and Boarded for almost 40 years, looks 9.6-9.8.

It would be great to know what comics were sent out with this and if anyone has them as they were sent. 

I assume the Peter Parker and Star Wars issues are known? 

Is this attached in the comic or just tucked in?

The envelope is attached along the top edge of the comic (side of the envelope) only. 

The survey and corresponding letter are tucked inside the envelope.

You can carefully pull them out and put them back in without damaging the comic, leaving the envelope attached.

The corresponding other two issues would be Spectacular Spider-man 84 and Star Wars 77.

Both cover dated Nov. 1983

The CGC Census does not show a variant except for Canadian price variants for any of these three issues.

I bought that AF issue at my LCS when it came out and still have it, just checked to see if it had the survey.. nope.  But thanks for the fun distraction

I found one in a Spectacular Spider-man comic, although I don't remember what I did with the survey.

I just checked an AF 7 I have that would have been purchased new in Cleveland by my buddy. It didn’t have one. I’ll have to ask him if he remembers anything about it.

Not in my copy of Alpha Flight 7, but I'll check the other two issues tomorrow.
