TRMN8R5 Posted June 17, 2023 Share Posted June 17, 2023 (edited) As stated in the title, want-to-sell a pair of *CRISPY* CGC 9.8 BLUE Label (with WHITE Pages) copies of two of the rarest of the Spider-Man #1 variant covers. Granted, the GOLD label Newsstand (a Wal-Mart "exclusive") is actually the most rare with an estimated less than 10K copy print run; then the PLATINUM an extremely close second with a so-stated 10K copy print run, according to the cover letter originally included with them from Marvel. But for those that don't know: given the drastically lower print run (around 125K copies each), and, most especially, the CGC Census totals of these two polybagged variants, they are both FAR less available in-grade as compared to their NO polybag counterparts (Green cover Grey Webs/Green cover Newsstand, and the Priced Silver Edition -- about a million copies print run each). ***Also, just FYI: the Purple Webs variant is the ONLY Spider-Man #1 cover with an UNcorrected (and for whatever reason not noted on the label) coloring error on the right side corner of Spidey's right knee. Uh-huh. I know, right ? Many collectors have completely missed the error, but it IS there. Or, I guess, not there. The numbers absolutely don't lie, but don't take just my word for it. The most recent eBay sale for the pair closed at $585...plus shipping...plus roughly $45 tax...for a grand total of around $640 SHIPPED. Deducting for the ridiculous roughly 14.5+% in seller fees (a wee bit over $90), that'd knock this back down to about $550 SHIPPED. And since I don't charge tax, knock off another $40, and that'd bring this down even further to right at $510 SHIPPED. Roughly $130 less than FleaBay. ***That said, I'm asking $400 DELIVERED for the pair. FYI: I currently have TWO sets available. Pics of the actual slabs are below. Shipping will be via WELL-packed, boxed USPS Priority with FULL insurance coverage (within the CONUS ONLY). NO returns on CGC slabs. However, if there's any kind of problem (IOW, somehow arriving damaged, etc.), I'll do my best to find an acceptable resolution . Payment preferred specifically via ZELLE; but, if needed, I can also accept a USPS money order, as well. ALL the standard rules you always see in other WTS threads apply here, too: NO probies, NO HOSers, etc., etc. And, most importantly, first in the thread gets it.
