One thing I love about romance covers are how the artists always find a place for an interesting visual pattern, like the leaves here.

It's often fabric or a headdress or some framing piece of the environment. I really dig the "mod" covers too.

They're habit forming. The DC product was definitely a polished effort. So many of them have Romita covers, and he was always a fave from my childhood. They're kind of like paperbacks and magazines, still kind of affordable to just collect. GOD BLESS ...

I don’t know about affordable, but they certainly offer great value.  They may not command the Baker, Cole, and Feldstein, etc. prices, but the art produced by Romita, Pike, Cohen, Rosenberger, and others in this era can hang with the best.
