Howdy Gang, home from the comic show intact, and I even manage to unload the truck, all while dodging
some seriously flashy thunderstorms. But I gotta say, I'm whipped. So tonight's session is going to consist of
an obscure horror trilogy from late 1969 and 1970. I'll try them as a set first in case some hungry collector wants to
take advantage of my generous ways, lol

Back shortly after I finish up the scans.

All right!

The series is Strange Paradise, published in late 1969 and 1970. Contemporary with the Dark Shadows series
(more on them later) and VERY much in the same format, by the same publisher.

Volume 1 is just Strange Paradise.  Volume 2 is subtitled Island of Evil, and Volume 3 is subtitled Raxl, Voodoo Priestess.
All by Dorothy Daniels, and as far as I can tell there are only the three volumes.
These seem to be going for stupid money on ABE Booksellers, without many listings. All three appear to be unread, so the minor mayhem on each is from production or bad storage.
Volume 1 has a tiny corner off lower RH FC, a round stamp page 1 inside the FC, and some sort of production ink bleedthrough
lower RH FC, discolors the inside cover, in one small spot, no other markings.

Volume 2 has a light dogear lower RH FC.

Volume 3 has a small corner off lower LH BC.

There are other tiny flaws on each, mostly teensy ink chips.

All three are flat, square, clean, glossy, gorgeous spines on each one. Interiors are clean except as noted on Volume one, and all are yellowed up a bit.

I want $40 for the set.

But you're such a lovely crowd I have a nice parting gift for you.

Everything in the thread except tonight's post is now discounted 20 percent. Enjoy!

Back tomorrow with a nice pile of digests, maybe a surprise or two.

SO!  About the Dark Shadows paperbacks.

I have somewhere around twenty individual volumes, from two different sources, and they're mostly as nice or nicer than the
Strange Paradise volumes listed above. Is there enough interest hereabouts for me to pull them to list later in the thread?

Chime in here if you'd like to see a bunch of Dark Shadows books up for grabs.

Well, something went wrong, let's try this again.

The World Jones Made/Agent of the Universe, Ace Double D-150

Paperback original by Philip K Dic&, first printing.
And this copy is a beauty. om ink chips off lower edge Jones cover, and a couple rounded corners,
otherwise news-stand fresh. Flat, tight, square, clean, glossy, clean interior except for a small
pencil price inside the Jones cover, page 1. No creases either cover, and the spine looks like it
was *maybe* opened...once. From my personal collection.

$25,  FIRM

Take, if this qualifies for the 20% off despite being marked “firm.”

Welp, as long as I'm awake...

Time to load up the "hardcover" "paperbacks"
First up is the odd duck.

Great Drawings, Pocket Collectors Edition 37
Only example I've seen, not listed in Holroyd. I believe Pocket Books must have been trying to run a little competetion with Modern Library
Just a faint whiff larger than a PermaBook edition, like 1/8 bigger each direction. Very nicely bound, color plates on three of the endpapers, and many MANY black and white illustrations inside. Interior is untouched, but the outer edges of the leaves have a  number of tiny red and blue dots.
The colors match the covers, so it must be production. Spine corners have a touch of rubbing, juuust enough to remove a spot of gloss.

Pretty book, profusely illustrated,  asking $10

Gang Girl

No, not THAT  one, this is Nightstand NB 1504.

Don Elliott was the pen name of Robert Silverberg, who wrote a bunch of smutty novels before gaining popularity as a science fiction author.
I figure you can't go wrong with lust-cats of the gutters, lol
What with this being a smut book and all, I will need an age statement from the buyer before I will ship.

Minor general wear lies flat, tight, and square. Chip out lower BC
Spine photo coming shortly.

Asking $30
