I'm saving up!

If only DC would end their decades-long stubborn refusal to reprint those issues, and particularly the Superman and Batman stories. It's also unfortunate that, despite all the technology we have, nobody has found a way to digitize old comic books. :(

Death of Gwen will always be key

RIP ❤️

:cloud9: agree with this 1000% Even though they've fake brought her back a few times, I'm so glad they stayed true on this one.

Along the lines of the return of Gwen Stacy, what did people think of how they handled Amazing #10 (2022) - Judgement Day? I thought it was appropriately done with no pretense of it being anything permanent.

I wish they would have treated Norman Osborne with the same respect. What a cluster fk his return was.

Key psychological / motivational archetype; helplessness or survivor's guilt over the loss of parents (or a father figure).

One of the weakest I've ever read is the explanation of how Jason Todd returned from the dead, in Batman Annual 25.

That Infinite Crisis "set history right".

and...

"In the case of Jason Todd, he was never supposed to die."

So now he didn't.

Lame.

The answer I gave in a previous thread to the question "Has any character died and not returned from the dead?" was Deadman.

Which seemed accurate and humorous at the time.

Even that was spoiled, as he did return from the dead in the Brightest Day storyline.

You could look at it this way:  a comment on the label doesn't make it a key

I was thinking that as well. I mean, there are GA "hanging panel", "hypodermic needle cover" or "drug story" which is a minor notation of an interesting component of the book - which is a little like a "death of". I don't feel it's a big deal: the notation doesn't make the book valuable, the collectors determine the worthiness of the issue.

Isn't Hellboy permanently dead?

Don't think so. His mother was human and demons can be considered extra-dimensional beings. More similar to Daimon Hellstrom, Son of Satan.
