If it went more than a dozen I would be surprised, but I would guess about 6 (enough to be put into a trade paperback).

Joe Madureira is not known for his writing. 
 

I bought the original Battle Chasers because it has probably some of the best art in comics. Period. 

I reread the original Battle Chasers last year, partly because I was reminiscing, and also because I reread Danger Girl and it was a lot of fun, so I wanted to see how this aged. 

It did not age well. 

Now Battle Chasers have returned and Joe Madureira is back, writing. 

Joe Madureira also skipped out on the one thing that made him famous? His art?

Oh wow I thought meant it was back as in, the older series is heating up on the back issue market.

He basically realized he didn't have time so he outsourced it.
