Thank you Bob! I looked back and saw you were the taker on that other copy of mine. It’s a sweet book too; structurally not quite as nice as the Sinnott book but less tan. I can’t believe two sharp copies of this book have been through my hands. There can’t be too many more this nice. (Readcomix gets boneheaded completist idea… )

1st meeting of Superboy and Supergirl (1960) in an absolutely charming quintessentially DC Silver Age tale (well, maybe it needs a purple gorilla, but other than that it’s pure, classic DC Silver.)

 SOLD! Panic #1

Pre-code EC notorious for its use in the Senate investigation, and its banning in Massachusetts. (On the strength of Bill Elder’s rendition of The Night Before Christmas, IIRC @SOTIcollector)

I think this was sold to me as a GD due to spine splitting below the bottom staple, though it’s visual appeal is better than that. Blissard just sold a worse-looking raw, accurately graded at GD- in my opinion, on eBay at auction for $132.50

Let’s say $125 for a nicer copy here.

Thanks!  I love Joe Sinnott in that era.  He did some really great stuff.  I'm glad to get it!

Figures if there’s another one as nice out there that you’ve already got it!  

So true about Joe’s work — he did some really strong pencil work in that era but completely overshadowed himself later on by becoming widely regarded as arguably the greatest inker ever. (I don’t want to open a can of worms, and I don’t think there’s much argument against Joe holding that title; I certainly think he does. But some folks might make a case for Al Williamson, I suppose.)

 SOLD via PM!  Astonishing #23 in VG- Spine splitting above top staple bringing it down. Presents nicely.

Sweet Atlas pre-code book (1953) with a nice skull cover, a guy eaten by feral hogs, a guy inadvertently crawling into an incinerator chute… 

Only 18 on census, topped by an 8.5. 

A cgc 3.5 just went at auction on eBay for $158.50

Lotta book for the money; seems cheap to me.

$125 here raw and readable.
