Hey there, pretty new to this. Got the book for a steal at a flea market and was trying to get an idea what it might grade at and if it would be worth it to get it pressed and cleaned. Any advice and insight is much appreciated. Thanks!

2.5/3.0. The tanning is dark enough for it to be lower than what the amount of creasing/tearing might allow. Pressing might get some spine roll out, but it could also cause damage to the stapled cover/pages. I don't think it improves the grade, but might look a touch better. Might not be worth the risk. If you got a good flea market price, then you're a winner pressed or not.

I figured the tanning would be an issue. Would that lighten or come out with a cleaning? I have a local guy that I could maybe see if he would just clean it without pressing, because I agree the staple wear makes pressing risky. And I it definitely is a win already at the price I paid so I'd be more than happy with a solid 2
