2015 Foil Card Curling
1 1

2 posts in this topic

I recently acquired a set of foil non-sports cards from 2015. They appeared to have been stored very nicely and will likely contain a lot of 9s and 10s. However, the entire set being stored together in a nice plastic set box has curled over the years. When placing a card face down on the table, the center of the card will be raised off the table maybe 8th of an inch; this is very consistent throughout the entire set which makes me think this is standard foil curl and not humidity or poor storage, definitely not "man made" damage.

The cards really do seem pack fresh and I am contemplating grading an entire set of around 100, so I am trying to determine how CGC treats such curling. ANY thoughts (good or bad) would be appreciated! Thanks in advance...

Hello @DanTheMan21

Thank you for reaching out to us. The curvature of cards could impact the grade, but determining the extent to which the grade would be affected would require evaluation by the grading team.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.
