A Gunsmoke lot, some early romance books and the first Jetsons.

Four Color 679, 797 & 844 (Gunsmoke 1, 2 & 4) Lot; asking $475.00

FC 679 (Gunsmoke 1), 7.0-7.5; fc has a cbc brc, spine ticks and what looks to be a store arrival date above the ‘O’ in ‘Gunsmoke; fc interior has tanning at tlc; bc has crease at the tr that does not appear to break color; staples are clean, and PQ appears to range from OW to OW/W.

FC 797 (Gunsmoke 4), 8.0-8.5; fc has tiny cbc trc, a few spine ticks, and ink on Marshall Matt’s (Arness’) cowboy hat; bc has a small pressable crinkle brc; staples are clean; PQ appears to range from OW to OW/W.

FC 844 (Gunsmoke 5), 8.0-8.5; a few spine ticks; bc has a small pressable crinkle brc; staples are clean; PQ appears to range from OW to OW/W.

Adventures Into Terror 22 (Atlas, 1953), 6.0; Burgos cover, with Heath and Maneely art inside; 2” cbc tr of fc; '1.00' written in pencil on bc; $325.00.

Love Romances 14 (Timely, 1951), 3.5-4.0; book is complete; Rule cover with Maneely art inside; ‘Lennie’ written in ink on fc, and the infamous letter ‘B’ shows up in pencil; there is a 3/4” tear on the right edge of the fc near the dancers; date stamp on the fc; two on the Census; little to no data; asking $65.00.

Love Romances 27 (Timely/Atlas, 1952), 5.5-6.0; book is complete; amazing Hartley cover; there are none on the census. Again, difficult to find sales data on this book. In March of 2022, it and ‘Dear Lonely Hearts 8’ carried a group of 10 romance books to a sale of about $500.00 before BP kicked in (owner now asking $900.00 for the lot). In August of 2022, a raw VG sold for $264.00. For this one, I’m at $300.00.

Lovers 38 (Atlas,1951), 5.0-5.5; book is complete; beautiful Hartley cover with some early Krigstein in the last story; pretty well zero data on this book, and there are none on the census; in 2021, it and ‘Girls’ Love Stories 14’ were part of a 5-book group sold by Heritage for $528.00 (including BP); owner has a current offer of a minimum $1056.00 for the same 5-book lot; For this one, I’m at $275.00.

The Jetsons 1 (1963), 3.5-4.0ish; book presents better than the grade; 3.5” cbc’s brc of fc and tlc of bc; spine wear; ¼” & 1/8” tears on re of fc, just to the right of Jane’s left arm; paper loss along le of bc; mold/mildew stains on interior pages; $200.00.  SOLD to NP_Gresham
