Hi , i'm not as good with OA art than comics that's why i need your help, what would be the value of a Silver Surfer page by John Buscema, it's a page without SS but with Mephisto thanks to you all !!

Actually the best value gauge is the Heritage archives but for soime reason they are down.

How does one determine value? Isn't worth subjective? Considering there's no "guide book" for OA, do you guys just offer what you personally feel is a fair price?

because the word "negro" is written on it, it is a $750 piece even though silver surfer doesn't appear.

That looks like a page from the original 1968 series. Few pages have surfaced recently, as most are in permanent collections. I would say a page like that would be over 1K, closer to 1.5K. That being said, many would wait for a page with the SS actually on it, and pony up the 3K it would take to get it instead. Killer pages from the run would run higher, of course, and the nicest splashes are over 15K.

 

If this page is from the graphic novel that Buscema did, and not the original run, then the price would be solidly lower.

Even though it's not one of Buscema's best panel pages, it still has Mephisto and it's from his classic run. I'd say that it's certainly worth over 1K.
