Key issues yes - definitely slab...but what if it was in bad shape? Should it be slabbed because the value is there? Would love to hear your more informed opinions! CGC-certification will run you about $75~100 (shipping, grading, return shipping). So ask yourself this: will CGC-certification increase the market value of my book by more than or less than $75~100? scburdet Posted August 22, 2023 Share Posted August 22, 2023 Max 1.5/1.8. Too many pieces out to go 2s I suspect. You might get $200-225 for this in a slab. Personally, I would want a book to have more significance to encapsulate it at this grade. For me, significance or preserving an older rarity or gem is the key criteria. Beyond that, there can be personal reasons outside of added value (e.g. nostalgia). You can certainly protect a book like this without grading it.
