PGM Journey Into Mystery #88 2 2

Looking for any thoughts on my Journey Into Mystery #88.

Items of note:

• Date stamp top front cover
• Faded writing in top/middle of cover
• Paper loss and edge damage right side of front cover
• Several spine ticks
• Chipping along top cover

Biggest concern is the writing in the middle of the front cover. Outside of this I'd be super stoked with the condition it's in and feel great about sending it off!

That's all the major stuff I can think of. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks all!!

Date stamps won't impact the grade with the other defects. Same for the writing presuming it's from distribution, which it looks like to me. It's the various edge issues that will set the ceiling. I'd say max 7.0. 6.5/7.0.

I think the combination of Marvel chipping and over-cover wear will cap this one at 5.0~5.5.  And I don't believe that red writing is "faded."  Let's hope whoever tried to erase/remove it only used non-restorative methods (the bleed thru to the inside front cover concerns me).

Yeah with the amount of chipping I'd lean towards 5.5. Unfortunately it's one of those things that doesn't have a basic fix, but on a personal level, I think the important part of the cover looks great. It's one of those classic text-filled colorful covers that I've always loved about Journey Into Mystery/Thor.
