Ok, Ok, I don't dive around in a ginormous bin of vintage paperbacks but, come to think of it, my warped mind thinks that might be fun :screwy:

As I promised some of y'all in PMs, I've been busy buying, sorting, comparing and A/B' ing books since the last sale and have a ton of under-copies, equal-copies and "I can't make up my mind" copies to show, as well as some "I can't collect every vintage paperback" copies lol  Anyway, I have a LOT of vintage paperbacks!

As I noted last time, turning 60 brings on some realizations that I can't keep 'em all so having a lot of fun releasing cool books both old and newer. Lots of high grade and near high grade genre 60's-70's books with the best cover art and plenty of my favorite stuff, the classic publishers from the 1940's-60's Golden Age of vintage paperbacks.  There's gonna be plenty for everybody, including quite a few of the most classic covers (thumbsu

I've been buying selling and trading Vintage pb's since the Hancer Price Guide came out back in the 80's. Been on Ebay since 1998 with 100% positive feedback.

I tend to grade paperbacks in the manner of current pulp grading:  Poor/Fair/Good/Very Good/Fine/Very Fine

I'm a high grade collector so my books are almost all Very Good and better if they're available in those grades. Many pre-1960 books just aren't available in high grade often so I try to find solid Good-Very Good ones if I can.

The rules for this thread are:

-No HoS or Probation list buyers

-I will ship to Canada but will have to quote shipping options.

-Payment via Venmo or Paypal preferred. I also can do Zelle although it is a bit more of a pain to do.

-Shipping via USPS Media Mail for $4 or Priority Small Box for $11 for the continental United States.  More than one book I will ship at the least extra cost practicable. Shipping for Canada will be quoted.

-First :takeit: in the thread wins and prevails over pm offers
-Returns accepted for 14 days after delivery but please let me know asap if you are unhappy for any reason and I will make it right. I do miss things occasionally.

Feel free to pm with offer or questions.  I'm always open to reasonable package offers.

Tales From The Crypt Ballantine U2106  1st Print August 1965     $60  SOLD to goldust40

Very high grade copy of a tough Ballantine EC. Classic cover with "Frank Frazetta" chiseled on the grave stone

Very Fine minus/Very Fine. Super glossy and square copy with no bends or creases. Great colors. Almost no wear at all on an extremely tough black cover book. I really shouldn't sell this.

The Spider #1 Death Reign of the Vampire King by Grant Stockbridge     Pocket Books 77952     1975   $22 SOLD to N e r V

Great Robert Maguire GGA cover art. Unusual for a GGA artist to do a Pulp PB series like this. Not tough in lower grades but not common in very high grades like these.

Very Fine. Glossy unread copy with deep colors, bright and white. Spine is square and tight. Virtually no creasing or edgewear. Great page and inside cover quality.  An excellent copy.

1984 by George Orwell   Signet Giant S798    1st Paperback Edition with the famous Alan Harmon GGA cover art.   11th Printing with the gold border and labeled a Signet "Giant" (It's fatter than the earlier versions but the same page length (so maybe thicker paper?))      $40  SOLD to dover

As with the last copy I offered, not much to say except it's one of the most famous paperback covers in vintage Science Fiction and one of the most significant anti-totalitarian writings of the 20th century. This is a great looking bargain copy.

Very Good/Very Good plus.  Square and tight. Covers glossy. A bit of spine edge wear to the front edge along with back cover corner creasing. First page is loose, some unevenness to the pages, which are fairly heavily toned but mostly solid in the binding, which is notorious for splitting and falling apart (See page edge pic, looks much better than described)

The Moon Men by Edgar Rice Burroughs.  Ace 53755-3    September 1978    $22  SOLD to Comical Situations

Later edition of this incredibly striking Frazetta cover that gets rid of the giant font and white space at the top and lets the image take the whole cover. I love these editions and this is a sweet copy.

Very Fine minus. Beautiful glossy copy with a smooth cover. Colors are deep. Off white pages, minimal toning to interiors. Hint of a hair of a crease at the spine and tiny fold at lower right cover. Tiny color fleck at spine. A beauty.

"I'll Get Mine" by Thurston Scott Popular Library #452 1952     $100  SOLD to Susanville

One of the most classic "pop culture" drug vintage paperbacks that appears on fridge magnets, coffee mugs, posters and t-shirts.  Great A. Leslie Ross GGA cover of a drug ho leaning on a street corner lamppost. This has become a very difficult book, especially in the first printing.  Another one I probably should keep, it's pretty much equal to my keeper.

Fine Plus. Solid, square and glossy. No major creases, only light general wear, a couple light stain marks on back cover that don't photograph.. A haunting book.
