The Shadow, The Black Master   #2 in the series by Maxwell Grant         Pyramid N3478   October 1974      $25

Gorgeous Jim Steranko cover art

Very Fine minus. Glossy copy with a smooth cover. Great colors and off white pages, minimal toning to interiors. Traces of edgewear, slightly blunt corners at right front, small finger bend at lower back cover. A bit of fading and spotting to page edge stain. A really nice copy with nit picking flaws I'm mentioning.

The Doll's Trunk Murder by Helen Reilly   Popular Library 211     1949       $65  SOLD to Comical Situations

Iconic violent Rudolph Belarski Bondage/Headlights cover. A book that never comes up for sale anymore as they pretty much get squirreled away in permanent collections and not let go.

Very Good/Very Good plus.  Square and tight, covers are smooth and mostly uncreased, colors are bright. The main image displays very nicely. Small spine split and a fair amount of spine paper wear. Main issue is old moisture wrinkling, mostly at the rear of the book. An decent looking affordable copy of a very difficult book.

The Shrinking Man by Richard Matheson, Gold Medal S577  1956   $45  SOLD to mstrange

True First Edition of this cornerstone horror novel. Classic cover art by Mitchell Hooks

Even more widely known for the movie which came out a year after the book. The film’s title was changed to "The Incredible Shrinking Man"

Fine minus/Fine  A nice, square copy, mostly smooth front cover, has an odd little crease in the mid cover, and some spine creasing to the back cover. Nice, glossy and fresh over all though.

Overboard by George F. Worts   Popular Library 292     1950       $95  SOLD to mstrange

Famously stark Belarski Bondage/Headlights cover, equal to or perhaps superior to "The Doll's Trunk Murder" cover, depending on what you like.  Another one that never comes up for sale anymore and are usually roached when they do. This is a stunning example. I will regret selling this as popkulture always tells me...

Fine plus.  Square and tight, covers are smooth, flat as a board and uncreased. Colors are bright and glossy. A bit of spine wear with tiny tear at bottom. Page block slightly separating from the spine glue in the interior but still tight with no loose pages. Appears to be a tiny hit of marker in the lower right corner, very common on this black cover. I mention all these little points to come back around and say this is a stunner of one of the most famous Belarski covers and my former "Keeper"

Ok. I have a ton more books to list but not a ton more time tonight. It's 10:20 here on the east coast and my daughter actually wants to hang out with me rather than watch me list books :cloud9:  There's a pretty good pile left of all kinds of cool stuff like what you've seen so I'll get back at it tomorrow :)

Thanks for all the takes, likes and comments. This is a pretty nice haven up in here (thumbsu
