I have almost a 10 hour layover at LAX. Are there any good comic shops nearby? Thanks in advance, JB.

10 hours is a lot of time to visit shops that aren't exactly close to LAX that are better but Hi De Ho in Santa Monica and Comic Bug in Culver City & Manhattan Beach are decent. There's also Golden Apple in LA. Some of the better shops are in the San Fernando Valley & Orange County. Depends on what you're looking for.

Hi De Ho has been there since the 80’s, I think. I know they, at some point, merged with Geoffrey’s Comics.

Good to know they’re still in business and surviving, and hopefully thriving.

House of Secrets in Burbank might be worth visiting if you are after vintage books.

Haven’t been there in a few years though since I found out they knowingly sold restored books as unrestored.

If you are good at spotting resto and are lucky, you might score something.

Sadly, there is a severe lack of stores with much it any vintage books in the LA area.
