The Adventures of Superman, trade paperback

Published in 1979, this is a reprint of the 1942 novel by George Lowther.
As far as I can tell, this is the ONLY paperback reprint except for the Armed Forces edition back
in the  WWII era. There was a harcover reprint in 1993, and that's it, only four printings ever.
I've never seen a copy of the Armed Forces book in person, just pictures.

Later in this thread, I'll have both a nice copy of the original, and a superb copy of the 1993 HC reprint available,
keep your eyes peeled!

Asking $20

Evening, Gang!

After a full day of running (got MOST of the chores done) I'm way behind this evening on the scanfest.
Here's something to tide you over for a half hour or so while I finish up.

Here's a paperback worthy of a @Surfing Alien thread, :D

A Hell of A Woman,  Jim Thompson
Pyramid F-739,stated first printing, June 1962.

Gorgeous every which way.  I'm going out on a limb and calling it a VF
Spine photo will follow, coming from my phone

Bring On The Bad Guys
Fireside, 1976,. Second print.

Sharp copy, but a couple light remainder marks on the lower edge of the book
This one is thick enough and heavy enough that it would ship BY ITSELF in a priority envelope.
If you buy anything with it you'll be bumped up to a flat rate box.

Asking $15

Last book for the evening!

Tales of the Mysterious Traveler 8
TWO Ditko stories in this one.

Slightly miscut, and there is a neat but good sized spine roll, dogears upper RH FC.
That being said, it's tight, glossy, white pages. A press wouldn't do anything for the creases, but the spine roll should disappear entirely.

Asking $60

Teenge Romances 35
Matt Baker cover plus SIXTEEN! interior pages!

Small narrow strip off lower RH FC, couple small pieces out here and there around cover perimeter, and the spine is
taped along the entire interior. Still flat and tight, good gloss, white pages, displays well for a lowgrader, all the mayhem is on the perimeter, :D

Asking $100

So! Running late today, I was up until after 5 AM with a dose of the flu or some close cousin.
But here's something to tide you over until I finish some more scans.

Justice League of America 21
Part 1 of the great JLA/JSA crossover that set up Earth 1 and Earth 2 for decades of crossovers.
Tremendous fun, and of some significance to me since I read this part when it was fresh on the stand in
1963...and didn't get my hands on a copy of part 2 until about 1975, when I was attending the Detroit Triple Fanfare comic shows

CGC 5.5, offwhite pages. Sharp book.

Asking $200

All Righty! Scans are all finished, I'm going to list a couple paperbacks and take a break. My beloved tells me an early dinner will be ready shortly.

Back after food with the comics.

Greenmask, Dell Mapback 111

This is a flat tight glossy book, square, nice interior. There are a couple of (slightly) bumped corners, see scan.
Spine pic following from the camera.

Asking $15 for a nice one  SOLD!

Rogue Queen, Dell (NOT a mapback) 600
Tiny split upper spine FC, light creasing both FC and BC, spine cocked.
Still displays pretty well, and it's affordable. Besides, you just gotta love a giant naked purple alien woman on the FC, right?

Asking $10

Brief, Atlas Digest,  V2 #6 Nov 1954
SEVEN! pages of Bettie Page inside, plus plenty of other cheesecake.
And let's have a shoutout for the Cat half of Catrick, who has a costar role as the helping hands in the pics of the interior!
Go Cat Go!

Flat and tight, good gloss, some minor geneeral wear and bit of rubbing. Offwhite pages.

Asking $50

Plenty of general wear, and the CF is loose.

Nice reader for $10

Laugh Comics 33

Very pretty midgrade, flat and tight, but the upper edge of the interior, back half, must've been misfold a bit,
and didn't get trimmed properly. Somebody had to go through and separate the folds on several leaves.
We've all seen it before. If you use your finger instead of a knife it tends to tear the pages instead of separate them.
Small bits out of the upper edges of several pages, all in the back half, and there's one longish tear into one panel that has been neatly glue repaired.  Otherwise quite solid, offwhite pages.
Edit:  Quarter sized medium brown stain lower BC

Second Edit: This is a Canadiam copy.

Asking $60  SOLD! per PM!

Green Lantern 40

This has become a key over the years, second GA GL, first in this title, and the seedling from which Crisis on Infinite Earths grew.

There is a quarter inch tear through the entire book RH edge  at the cover price, otherwise some general wear.
Flat and tight, white pages.

Discounted for the annoying flaw that barely affects the display, take it for $80
