Reholder/ 9.5 to 10 update eligibility? 1 1

I have a blue label 9.5 Gem Mint, which I have been told could be sent in to get the new holder and update the grading to the 10 Gem Mint. Is that true? If so, do subgrades matter? Finally, is there a deadline for these types of submissions?

Thank you for your help! I just discovered these boards and I’m stunned to see we can actually ask things like this and get legit replies from CGC people. I love CGC!!

Hello @Holli Robertson, thank you for contacting us. Yes, you can absolutely send any *Gem Mint 9.5 blue label* cards to be reholdered to our new Gem Mint 10 black label. CGC Cards no longer supports subgrades though, so those will be removed if you send the card in. To do so, simply send the card in as a reholder service and we will get the card updated. There is no time limit to send your card in to be updated to Gem Mint 10.

@KaileeS CS - I'm looking to reholder a bunch of CGC 9.5s. Is there a discount available? I noticed that the $5 price has now increased to $10... That is a lot to charge consumers for a short sighted change made by CGC...

Hello @Daryl Deebrah, may I asked how many cards you are looking to reholder? The reholder special was available from July to end of October, so unfortunately that $5.00 discount is no longer available but I can check to see if any additional accommodations can be made.
