Scubamac Posted December 6, 2023 Share Posted December 6, 2023 First time poster - The main issues I see on the front cover are a small tear in the top left corner away from the spine of the book, and a small fold crease in the upper right corner. But I'm pretty new to this and there could be many things I'm overlooking! I just happened to pick this comic up out of a sale pile as I have such fond memories of this issue and it's the perfect time of year to display it! After getting this issue home I also discovered this has a Mark Jewelers insert which I previously didn't know to look out for but it supposedly adds value? I'm also not sure if I should refer to this issue as a "Mark Jewelers Newsstand" or if that's redundant and and all Mark Jewelers comics are newsstand versions. While I don't intend to sell this - I am curious of its value and if it's worthwhile to get it graded. If the value question is something that is typically frowned upon on these forums please ignore - but I'm just getting my feet wet with comics collecting and am trying to learn more! Thanks! Mark jeweler copies appeal to completists and if I were offered 2 books one a MJ and the other not, I will choose the MJ all other things being equal. Welcome to the boards! A nice first post.
