Here's one I found on Heritage that lines up similarly on the right.  You can see the bit of mis-wrap on the left that you'd expect...

Cut similar, but different books.
Few differences.
On the HA book, you can see some of the white of the spine. Below "begin the saga of thor.." You can't see the tops of the windows on the other copy you can. The staple placement on the HA copy is going the the guys head.

Yeah, it's clearly not the same book.  It's being shown to illustrate how different the cover wrap is with the copy under discussion despite them both having a right edge cut that goes through the comics code stamp.'

But in the early SA days of Marvel production, there was a lot of chipping and also variability and anomalies in cover cuts.  So it's hard to conclude on the basis of a scan alone whether that JIM #83 does indeed have a trimmed right edge or not.

OK, so I’m getting a ton of private messages asking me who the identity of these people are. While  I won’t share it publicly I can’t say every gurss is pretty much 100% correct lol and that’s all I’m gonna say about it.

Any and all info regarding this can be sent in by anyone.  There is no such thing as too much info, and all is welcome.

I for one will be seeking restitution… the way this was handled is deplorable … tell J I say hi.

Yes, wasn't implying that they are the same books... just pulled the Heritage book to illustrate what the left edge should look like on a JIM #83 when the right edge is a bit mis-cut.

The JIM #83 was the book that made me stop in my tracks.  Very suspect.

As far as Dupcak, if you look at his auction raw books, almost every one of them has the appearance of trimming.  On some of the auctions he used to disclose the trimming in the description, and on others he chose not to disclose.  He is an individual of many deceptive skills and extremely knowledgeable in all their practices.  He was quite the wealth of information when he used to post on these forums...

He posting on this very thread. :gossip:

I started my own thread on this and it was taken down… I received an email a few days ago stating someone wanted my book transferred to them… (I made the mistake of accepting the request because I recently sold a ASM 300 on EBay)… I sent an email to The “Registry Department” immediately stating the book was in my possession and id like it back on my registry… I then receive an email from a person named J (maybe a member of MIB) stating he took my comic book off the registry due to this tampering thing. Mr J did not bother attaching instructions or an apology simply referred me to Customer Support… I texted and called Customer Support and they had no idea at first what I was talking about. I started another thread months back calling them out on another situation where I felt (very strongly) that someone under their direction caused me financial hardship… I have lost all faith that in what CGC stands for…a simple email before…. Would have gone along way. The way this was handled.. once again is what hurt this Karen the most… and I don’t usually complain about anything.

This is another example of a certification number showing a pattern of the book inside changing. In this instance, the different example is seen on 8/7/2021 (3) and 9/12/2021 (4). While WP doesn't have a record of either of these listings, @BlancoBros was able to provide me the photos from GoCollect. The priors we have from WP examples to compare are from 12/31/2017 (1) and 9/13/2020 (2). These are two completely different books, but the most noticeable differences to ascertain the change is the white on the spine on the changed book, as well as what appears to be mold spots on the rear cover. The chronological order shown below is from the first time the book appeared to the last, for a total of 5 times, it was the last two instances where we see it's a completely different comic. Data points that are greyed out have no WP record.

Certification number: 1295091001 (on Impacted List)

Yes, right before the first sales record (1), I include the certification number and next to it is a notation on whether it's on, and a direct link to the list.

It defies logic that they started including scans in the grader's notes, for any other reason than they were somehow clued in to this being done.

Has anyone ever heard a logical reason other than that, why after decades of doing business, they started doing this?

I refuse to believe that there is a MVS in that custom label 8.5.

What on Earth are you babbling about? Your post makes zero coherent sense.
