This isn't as NM as I thought but was $30 still a deal?

I didn't have time to get to a scanner and with this kind of book I wasn't sure if pics were the best rather than scanning anyway

Hard to see flaws that look worse up close in light.

Will get scans up if needed otherwise I'll wait and see 🙂

I am thinking that one corner, plus the spine ticks, puts it in an 8.0-8.5 range (unless the photos are exaggerating the actual impact of the defects).  I have no idea if that sort of book can be improved with a press.

Ya it was bad at that one spot on the front, that im not sure a scan sould pick it up. It looks that bad in person and up close. Still through the bag and board, looked nm, at the time of pickup there wasnt a chance to flip thorugh. I probably should have familiarized myself first.

If at worse vf, i think i can live with that, for future helpers! I appreciate it! Let me know, as i kind of went over board today

I think $30 was a fair/good price for this. Would probably keep it as a reader copy. Solid find, either way. 👍

I agree - at least VF and probably a tick higher. For a first printing I think you did OK.
