I having been experiencing a similar issue pictured below ever since I tried it at a local con on Saturday the 9th.  Tried it on the slabs I brought to trade that I know are good but getting the same error.  Luckily the qr picture still scans to the book but this isn't helping ebay or shortboxed books I'm interested in.
