Help I found something really old 1930 and cool 0

First of all, is it a comic book? To me it looks like one, measures: 9" x 6" department store giveaway. Not a lot out there as far as information. I did find one that had a Gimbels Pittsburgh on the cover instead of May Company Toy Basement. Author is BERNARDA BRYSON

Just purchased this over the weekend at an estate sale.

Any help insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I'd say comic-ish but not quite a comic. The interior looks more like a children's book format. Cool for sure tho!

It’s a giveaway, but as Point Five has stated, it’s a children’s book and you’ll see them with a few different large store chains not unlike the later giveaway comics like Buster Brown and Weather Bird.

Nice piece and I really like the cover with the embossed penny. Very interesting but not a comic; but then again who cares!! Try finding another one! Thanks for posting.
