All 3 of my Spy pages are done on illustration board in two parts.  The top part is a large single panel title gag, and the bottom part has the multi-panel story layout.  I do have one Spy vs. Spy vs. Spy page.  When I framed these pages, I failed to note the issue numbers, so I would need to take apart the frames to get this info. What is the gag for Mad #125?

This is from Mad #98 Oct 1965. Yours is the 2nd to the last Spy vs Spy vs Spy done for Mad magazine. I double check and Proxies did 21 Spy vs Spy vs Spy. You should pick up Spy vs Spy Omnibus- - Antonio Prohias HC. It has all of his published Spy art in Mad magazine plus some earlier art.

No idea why the format was changed after Mad #125 but that was the last issue the two Spy vs Spy gags was used after that is was all done on one smaller board

Definitely more desirable than at least some Ditko covers (looking at you, ASM 30).

The Spidey 30 cover guy wouldn't sell his cover for a million.....I already tried!

Calculated by the size of the Spider-man image, that works out to what, 350K per inch

I imagine the guy that owns it would probably say "Eh, go find another Ditko Spidey cover then..."

What is it with Spy vs Spy by Proxies the last two years. Most times the pre-Mad #125 dou-strips usually go from $3K-$6K. But since 2022 have gone into 5 figures.  One from this auction , Mad #109 hammered at $15,600 go figured.

I really liked this one and underbid it. Someone had left an Internet bid of $10K hammer and then either that person or someone else and I duked it out to the final price. I would have gone higher if I didn't already have one that I'm very happy with.

@Brian Peck Those 2 Prohias Spy vs. Spy pieces in the current HA auction both went for less than recent comps (and one was even an uncommon Spy vs. Spy vs. Spy gag). I actually stepped away for an early dinner during this point of the bidding, otherwise I might have thrown in a bid or two more on one or both of these.

Just goes to show that the removal of even one bidder on niche material like this can have an outsized impact on the final price.

I thought about going after the Spy vs Spy vs Spy two piece (only 21 of those were done) but dropped out at $5K. I already have two with the three spys.
