BA773
How is that affect the visual of a book? If i remember right it s the kind of diffect who could downgrade the book with age, i say that because people speak of rust migration, so is it to avoid? Will the book is going to rotten with time? Or is it not a terrible thing? I was only buying modern until now so sorry for this newbie question im not used to low grade for the moment... shadroch
Rusty staples are really only an issue on expensive HG books, in my opinion. The JLA lot you are looking at are readers, and some might say rust migration adds to the charm of low-grade BA books. Yorick
LowGradeBronze
I like older books but the ones I can afford are usually in lower grades, where you'll occasionally find rust on staples. It's not an issue for me in the grades I buy. I just accept and enjoy books as they are now.

Well as i said im not preocuppated by how it looks... its more about if it could spread on the book with the time? Did you seen a difference on your books trough the years? I tought about color rub or something like that caused by the rust...
LowGradeBronze
Once in my care they are removed from the conditions that would make the rust active again. The rust stabilises and no further spread. (My motorbike though, is a different problem!) Edited Monday at 07:20 AM by LowGradeBronze
