What Frank Miller Daredevil covers are known to exist?

We need a @dover style Neal Adams handy dandy spreadsheet.

Given the dates of those covers is there any reason to think any of them don’t exist?   I’d be surprised if there was a single one that didn’t  exist.

Existence is typically only an issue for 1960s and prior (shrug)

Sure but which covers are known to exist? CAF, HA archives, dealer sites, etc., like the DD186 here http://panelpageart.com

Pretty sure I've seen them all now, either in person or in scans, with the exception of #158. That I can remember.

#167 just surfaced in the last couple of years after being buried for about 40 years. Still the same owner, he's just gotten re-engaged with the hobby and showed it to me. Anyhow, they're all out there. If I had to bet, #158 is probably out there, too.

Here's one more listing, from 1980, advertising the covers to #159, #161, and #163.  You could buy all three covers for less than the costs of a Swamp Thing panel page from the same advertisement:

In historical context, it's perfectly rational.  In 1980, Wrightson was already an established name and very popular for his horror work from the late 60s and early 1970s, and had broken through to do work in mainstream publications like National Lampoon.

In contrast, at this stage DD was a 3rd-tier title that had been mired in 1970s mediocrity for years, and Frank Miller was an unknown artist whose first few issues were not particularly notable.  I can't remember when comics with his artwork started getting broken out in Overstreet, but it definitely hadn't happened by #163.  The summer of 1981 was the first time I remember someone telling me to check out Daredevil because it had gotten really good.

You just need $$$ and you'll find just about anything for negotiation.

True!  I never, well almost never, sell Comics or Comic art but there have been times I was offered "stupid money" then negotiated up from that and parted with items that I never thought I would...

The saying "everyone has a price" exists for the mere reason that everyone does.
