This crease!!!  I've been going through my collection pulling out books to send to CGC and found this one in my Punisher appearances section. Book is otherwise in fantastic condition however when I was putting it in a new boarded bag discovered this crease in the cover. I have never read this book and have never taken it out of the bag since I picked it up in the late 80s. It looks to be a factory defect. The cover page is still aligned with the bottom and sides. My question, does this hurt the value? And is it still worth sending in for grading? I don't think it's a candidate for pressing. Something happened during the printing process to produce this. It's probably a 9.6-9.8 otherwise.  Thoughts???

edit 2*** I now see the spine ticks. Thinking a pressing would take care of those.  Just not sure it's worth it with that crease.

There are too many spine tics for it to be in the 9.6 or 9.8 range.  The bottom right corner looks slightly rounded so that definitely puts it out of that 9.6+ range.  Without a full picture of the cover I'd say the book is in VF+ (8.5).  I don't think the crease will get down graded, but there appears to be some color loss above the crease in the shadow by Punisher's boots and on the grey area.

Classic printer crease. Late to comment, but must agree with the other posts about the raw grade range though.

Right, once I took the pictures to post and was able to zoom in, I was able to see the spine ticks downgrading the book. I'm 50 and apparently my eyesight needs help when trying to see things up close.
