Prize package details will be shared in the latest issue of the Collectorverse Newsletter which is scheduled to go out this morning. Please check your communication preferences and be sure your email is correct in Collector's Society. It's going to be a terrific Awards cycle! There are a lot of great things in store for the winners this year! Important Dates: Registry Freeze: June 28th at 2pm EST. The New Set & Slot Requests form will be disabled at that time. Failed adds will be rejected after that time. Awards Announcements: July 26th. The New Set & Slot Request form will be restored and Failed Adds will be processed beginning July 29th. I've received many messages from members discussing discrepancies with points. I'll remind everyone (once again!) that this is not a points-based contest as much as it is a completion rates/presentation based contest. There are several reasons for this and I'll outline a few here: - The judges have awarded sets without images in the past but this is very unlikely to happen again - Completion rates are at the top of the list in the data that the judges receive. They are looking for the most complete sets. It would make no sense to award sets with a handful of books that have astronomical point values and low completion rates over sets with high completion rates (i.e., 10% complete with 1,000 points vs 70% complete at 750 points) - The judges enjoy seeing people's passion for their sets. If you can add some descriptions to your sets, give a little info about why you're collecting this set, etc, that will go a long way. You don't have to be a novelist, but any details you can give are better than none. I highly recommend that you use this time between now and June 28th to add images, write-up's, and book descriptions to your sets if you do not already have those in place.
