Detached Cover - Worth Pressing and Cleaning?
2 2

I'm looking at a CGC graded copy of Zap #1 - first printing (https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4414826004/) and it got a 2.5 grade with the following notes:

Would getting this comic cleaned/pressed per CGC do anything to improve it, or is the detached cover not worth cleaning/pressing?

Thanks for any feedback!

Grader Notes
detached cover
stain cover
stain interior
creasing to cover
spine stress lines to cover

The creasing to the cover is the least of this book's flaws. It might bump the grade slightly but I doubt it. A 4.0 would likely be the best a book could get with a detached cover but the rest of the book would need to be near-flawless.

When CGC says "cover detached" or "detached cover" (with no qualifiers), they mean the cover is 100%/fully detached at each production staple.  :foryou:

but is it detached from the back cover (separated)
