Corvonie
Really been falling in love with some of these early X-Men covers. Looking for a grade on this copy of Dominus. Among other things, I’m wondering if the shadow on the top of the front cover is faint enough to not affect grade. Thanks! 1950's war comics
scburdet
Mark me down for an 8.0. I agree. I snagged a dozen or some lower/midgrade from the era 20-25 years ago out of clearance bins at NEC & I enjoy them even if they're not gradable. I did score a 7.5 on the X-Men 49 from the bunch, probably paying $10-15 for it in 2001/2002 dollars. Likely worth more now than I paid for all of them. silverseeker
I'm torn between 8.0 and 8.5...guess it depends on how hard CGC hits the light dust shadow at the top right of the cover. Looks like your book has great page quality...very nice! Corvonie

Nilo2
Wow. You’ve got a beauty there! Only some very light tanning along the spine and slight blunting at the top left corner. But really, that’s being very picky. I’m going to say 8.5. Maybe even 9.0. Thanks for sharing. Corvonie

Thanks for sharing. this seems more in line with what I *think* I'm seeing, but I'm going to send it in. I may have gone a little far on the cleaning for the dust shadow and have traded it for "gloss loss" so who knows what that will do to the grade :-/ . Lesson is, like Francis Bacon said "At some point, I have to get the painting out of the studio or else I'll ruin it." I'll be sure to share results when they come in! LowGradeBronze
8.5 or 9.0 with the area to take good care of when handled being around the staples on these older high grade books. Gorgeous!
