lostboys
I store my slabs flat but most collectors probably have a lot more than I do. Id say if you have the storage room, stack em flat. I dont stack higher than 6. The only POSSIBLE negative Ive ever heard from stacking flat is puddling...which is when the book caves in because the inner well isnt as stiff as a board. I dont buy that theory because I had a book graded that came back from CGC with puddling already. Should large omnibus books be stored flat? Heavy books in libraries are always standing on the shelves.

This particular issue probably falls under the "they all have it" designation, so 9.8 isn't out of the question... Le Chat Noir
Had a couple slabs with the same plastic fragment. I could see the possibility of one causing surface damage, so I got them recased. Shaken comic syndrome was an issue with older slabs, but I'm not convinced its been eliminated entirely.

My self-submitted copies I purchased when new do not have tears, seems unfair I only received same 9.8 grade Edited July 12 by MAR1979
davidking623
I sent in multiples of these back in 2016 . It does seem unfair .Graded a 9.6 to show they are long gone now .
