[Savage Collector]

I am sending comics to be graded for the first time. Because of this I am unsure how they will graded. All are Vintage and most of them are probably right around the value of $400 in their condition, but possibly more. Do I submit them as High Value or only vintage?

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, I cannot advise you which grading tier to select. That will depend on the declared value that you put on the book. If you put it in the Vintage tier and our third parties determine that the Fair Market value of that book is higher we will bump it up to the High Value tier and charge you the difference.  The value we ask for is an insurance value, the amount you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if the book was lost or damaged. Each tier of service covers up to a maximum specified insurance level, select the tier of service which will accommodate the declared value for your item.  
  
We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse if it has been over-valued. If a book were grossly under-valued, we would contact you to bump the book to a higher grading tier and you would just pay the difference in the grading fees at that time. Details can be viewed online with our Declared Value Policy. Good resources for determining the value of your comics are completed eBay auctions and the posted prices of large dealers. CGC does not assign values to any comics/ magazines.
