Grading outcome of undoing Restoration
1 1

If you have a book that is designated Restored/Apparent Slight-A due to "centerfold re-attached with glue".   I'm curious if serious collectors consider this an egregious issue that should significantly devalue the book (imo, i don't & equate it with slight color touch)?  Also, would you suggested cracking it open to undo the 'restoration' by removing the centerfold?  Would the book then get a Green/Qualified label or a Blue/Uni label with "detached centerfold" note.  There seems to be some inconsistency as to how this might get slabbed.  NOTE: this is for a very HTF book in high-grade that generally gets 2-3X multiple of grade value.

Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't glue still remain on the pages?  Sure, you can pull the centerfold, but the glue is still there.

I have bought books (GA) that have glue, color touch, etc because I want a copy at a reasonable price.  I wouldn't try to reverse any work on my books unless the work was causing further damage (like tape that creates staining).
