Amazing Spider-Man #86 CGC 9.0: $525 SOLD VIA PM

Old label goodness graded in 2002. This book was not pressed and it's pretty obvious when you hold the book in hands, it would however greatly benefit from pressing if you are into that (not me).

Last GPA sale for a CGC 9.0 was $550 (August 30, 2024)

No grader notes unfortunately

All-Star Western #10 CGC 9.2: $1,200 SOLD VIA PM

No Grader Notes unfortunately

Book was not pressed. Graded in 2005. Looks better than its technical grade. Near flawless spine, sharp corners. There is a tiny crease near lower left corner of front corner that slightly breaks colors (visible on scan). Also there is a slight curve in the book probably due to stacking and that could easily be pressed out.

Daredevil #4 CGC 8.0: $825

Book was not pressed and it's pretty obvious when you have the book in hands and it's also obvious that it could significantly improve if pressed. Even I, am tempted

Iron Man #47 CGC 9.2 (old label): $375

To the best of my knowledge, this book has not been pressed.

One of the toughest BA Iron Man issues (along with #44) to find in high grade and this one looks better than its assigned grade. Almost flawless spine, some distributor's ink at top edge with a micro-ding that does not break colors and a very tiny crease on lower right corner that barely break colors are the only flaws that I can find. Very tight grading from CGC in those early years.

No grader notes available

Amazing Spider-Man #8 former CGC 8.0 old label: $1,850

It was graded in 2000 and looks better than its assigned grade, I would grade it as a VF+ and it could probably get higher if pressed. CGC was very strict on those early years (not the case anymore unfortunately...). I own this copy for over two decades and did crack it almost immediately after purchasing but kept the label. Among the defects in the notes, there is a name/store stamp on back cover and overlap of front cover which today are not considered as defects anymore. There is a crease on lower right corner and on bottom left side that do not break colors and would probably be easily pressed if you are into that. I did "upgrade" this copy by another CGC 8.0 that also looks under-graded but with better centering and full CCA stamp (which is very important for me) but this copy here has better colors and gloss. GPA prices in 2023-2024 for a 8.0 did vary from $990 to $2,400 with the better looking copies selling for the higher prices. I paid a high price for my new copy and it was not easy to decide which one to keep and which one to resell.

Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom #1 CGC 7.5: $700

Looks great for its assigned grade. To the best of my knowledge, this book was not pressed (but would probably benefit from it considering the nature of defects).

That's a great price.  If I didn't already have an 8.5 I'd be all over this.

Origin and 1st app. Deadman.

To the best of my knowledge, this book was not pressed. No CGC grader notes available unfortunately but this one was graded in 2006. Gorgeous copy for its technical grade.

Showcase #33 CGC VF+ 8.5: $750

To the best of my knowledge, this book was not pressed.

Gorgeous copy for its technical grade and very well centered, I have seen copies graded 9.2 in the past years not as nice as this one, "kudos" to CGC for being so inconsistent with their grading.. Feel free to compare with the CGC 9.2 copy that sold this year for $3.840, it's all about buying the book and not the label: link

Green Lantern #76 CGC 8.5: $1,500

To the best of my knowledge, this book was not pressed.

Book looks NM- at first glance but downgraded because of a tiny chip out at spine that is rather unobvious as it is in the white area (near the word "Apr."). It certainly looks gorgeous for a 8.5.
