100 Page CGC Census

congratulations......I just passed dethlik, but it will be a while before I buy any more comics....finishing some remodeling projects right now..

CGC 100 page census update 5/4/06

 

Only one new high to report: Young Romance 203 CGC 9.0

 

Only 29 comics were graded since the last census on 4/3/06.

 

Most of these were 9.2 or below.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think people do not submit a bronze age 100 pager

(in most cases) unless they think it will grade 9.4 or above. Since the majority of the 29 books graded since the last census came in at 9.2 or below, what exactly does this mean?

 

A) People have no idea how to grade their comics

B) High grade 100 pagers are hard to come by

C) CGC is grading these books harder than ever before

 

Which is it?

 

Anyway, the breakdown is as follows:

 

2,053 books graded

 

9.8 = 36

9.6 = 264

9.4 = 476

9.2 = 349

9.0 = 334

8.5 = 215

8.0 = 144

7.5 = 72

7.0 = 52

6.5 = 24

6.0 = 14

Less than 6.0 = 44

Restored = 29
