Need help with images...

I do not have a scanner but I have an excellent digital camera. Is there any way to take pics of my comics where they are big enough for you guys to offer an opinion on grade?

 

Any suggestions on how I can achieve this?

Good enough unless you want us to grade 9.4/9.6/9.8 comics were you need a mega scan to count the tiny stress marks.

My only suggestion is to try to take the picture as "straight on" as you can, so there is no distortion of the image; i. e. the top looks wider than the bottom, etc.

A copy stand would be very helpful..

I thik that depends on the camera(or possibly camera settings). I have a 5.1megapixel camera and the pics are plenty big. If you have a new camera the images should be fine.

I do have a new 5MP camera. My issue is how do I "blow up" the image to where its scanner size big?

Use a piece of software such as Picasa to adjust it's size up.
