ASM #300!!!

67 posts in this topic

Well my friends.

Today I went into PA, and to a LCS, and well, while looking through all

his ASM's most where $1.00 - $3.00 (He is not expensive) there it was

ASM #300. Priced @ $20.00. I took it in a heart beat.

Sadly, it was orgiinally marked as $12.00. But I feel like I got it for

$15.00, for the sole reason was I sold some comics and made a profit.

Did I do good? And, I will have a scan of it shortly. yay.gif

Yes, it over hangs (Sadly). But not to much. It's bareable.

Now, when your talking about the Back Upper right, do you mean the

corner? An as in how sharp it is?

If so, I woulden't say there the sharpest corners. But. It's good enough.

Congratulations! My favourite comic of all time!! I have 3 copies.

Looks like a NM to me. This will make you happy ... i have exactly the same thing on one of my copies with the over-hang and it still got a CGC 9.6. If it wasn't for the small stress marks on the back and maybe the slight corner bumps then this would be easily a 9.6. The overhang is nothing to worry about, it's a common defect on this book.

$20? I would have picked up my 4th copy at that price! Fantastic!!

How badly does CGC downgrade for staple placement? I've got a near-perfect copy except that the staples are about 1/8" to the right of the spine. I remember this being a tough issue to find in nice shape, what with the marks on the spine.

you got a steal we sold our last one at the shop the other day for 90 and it was only slightly better if at all.

Congrats for you to selling it 27_laughing.gif. Yeah, I never expected a good price like this.

At least I am not alone. smile.gif I hate over hangs, but ohwell. It could be worse

you know? Man, you must be getting good prices on yours to have

3. Btw, how much did it cost to get one slabbed? I might get mine

slabbed. Since it is worth slabbing. I'd only do it to keep it in great condition.

Idk if I will ever sell my collection. Be hard for me to.

I know have

ASM #200

ASM #300

ASM #400

And ASM #500.

I am getting my #300 Signature Series(ed) by McFarlane at the NY Con show this month :fingerscrossed! This is a tough one to get in really high grade as the black & red cover complicates viewing defects. Not sure what mine will grade out at, but it will be signed and I love that issue and gee...what else matters after that 27_laughing.gif

Great buy for $20!!!!

Thank you!!!!!!!!

You're one who agree's I should not sell my comics. smile.gif

Of course, if I did have 4 or 5, I would sell one or two....

Just for more comic book spending money.

Now..........For those who had had this graded.

How much did it cost? I realy would like to know.

I bought mine already in the Slab about 5 years ago. If you want to submit your book the information you need is in the link below. It would cost you $16 and you'll have to send it through a CGC dealer. Im sure someone can help you on the details as i've never submitted to CGC myself.

that's one very very good deal you've got there...the comic looks to be at worst a solid NM 9.2 and in gorgeous shape/QP.

all in all you had a 60% discount price over the lowest price one can normally get for this comic (which is around 50$).

your spidey coll. is shapping fine... 893applaud-thumb.gifthumbsup2.gif

now go read it... wink.gifgrin.gif
