Back in the early 90's,I had a roomate who did some construction for Marvel's office in midtown.He brought home a stack of comics... mostly garbage and foreign language comics.In the middle of the stack was a Spider-Man promo movie poster from 1985.Here's a few pics..... ..............

Yeah! My LCS has a small version of this on the inside of the front door and I would look at it every time I was leaving. I remember being really excited about it and then disappointed when nothing happened. Did they do much more work on this movie other than hype it up? Was there a -script?

I'm not sure it ever got past the screenplay stage,I never heard of any casting or location shoots.I think it got tied up in the courts over property rights and died a thankful death.......

Thank goodness this never happened. Man, that costume is almost as bad as the one from the 1978 live action series. Ugh, what a nightmare that would have been.

That's pretty funny. I had never heard about this. Tobe Hooper and Spider-Man...scary combination. I like Tobe Hooper, just probably not in this genre. Although, I would have said the same about Sam Raimi
