How did you get the auction number into your post without performing a copy and paste?

You have to scoop the whole URL up.

Leaving off even the "http" or whatever it ends with will prevent a link.

Ok everyone. As far as how I got the item # in my post without copying and pasting, thats easy. I just typed it in manually. I never turned on a computer until I was 37 years old. I can make it do quite a lot. I have no problem with photobucket with the clickable html's Cut and Paste. Lets say I am viewing an ebay auction. I go under edit and click copy. Nothing happens. I click on select all, then click on copy, then I go to the post and click on paste, walla! All of the words end up in the post, but thats not a link. I am assuming that old guys link means READ THE FUC 893censored-thumb.gifING MENU. That didn't help me either. 893scratchchin-thumb.gifconfused-smiley-013.gif

Lets say I am viewing an ebay auction. I go under edit and click copy. Nothing happens. I click on select all, then click on copy, then I go to the post and click on paste, walla!

 

You have to actively select the URL. You know the box where you type in internet addresses? The text in there (which usually starts with http://) is the URL. You can select that text by clicking it. It will turn blue. Once you've got it selected use the edit menu to select copy. Come back to the forums, insert your cursor into the text box where you make your posts and then use the menu to select paste.

 

That should do it.

Rob. You are a genius. I had to RIGHT CLICK on the html then the edit column came up automatically. When I left clicked then went to edit, the blue disappeared and could not copy. I'm suprised that we didn't hear from action1kid Maybe he's out of town. I do believe that the scammer got the image of his book, maybe from metro or heritage before it was resubbed.
