Well, we sold 26 of the books at over 95% of the asking prices, so it was a decent showing. as Jimjum mentioned elsewhere, i wonder if any folks got locked out of the show. i was expecting to meet Linmoth and bighulkfan, among others that i didn't see............... frown.gif

 

or perhaps as Jiveturkey said, it was time to just sit back and see what was gonna be leftover.......... grin.gif

 

in any event, it's time to throw it open to the Forum, so here's the list with the books noted that were sold and some revised pricing. i'll be in Mexico until next tuesday, so may not be able to respond to questions, etc., but here's the deal, anyway.

I think you did extremely well. Obviously, JIM's made up around 40% of your total sales which shows that they are still hot. Strange Tales would have done killer but you sold some great issues a year and a half ago.

 

You got some very nice prices on the books that showed sold.

 

Question:

 

When you say you got 95% of the asking price, is that in total or is that 95% of the books sold for the asking price? In other words, if say ten books sold for the asking price, then you would have had discount say another ten books to 90% to get an average of 95%.

 

What I really want to know, is how low did you drop your prices on some books to move them and which titles sold for full value and which ones needed a little discounting.

 

Still, you sold around $25K which to me is a great showing. thumbsup2.gif

Steve; total realized dollars were 95.5% of the asking prices..........

 

discounts varied from none to about 10% based mostly on when the books were sold more than what the books were. on sunday lucky buyers could have gotten even more, but i've recovered from that madness, now........... devil.gif
