Wizard World Los Angeles March 17-19 - Signature Series Opportunities

Yes, time is flying by, and we are close to another major convention - this time around it's WIZARD WORLD LOS ANGELES on March 17-19! This will be the first year that the convention will actually BE in Los Angeles, as the con has moved from Long Beach to LA proper!

 

Expect more record breaking attendance and, as expected with Wizard shows, a fantastic guest list chock full of Signature Series opportunities!

 

CGC will be set up, and as such, I will be there to coordinate getting books signed for fans interested in participating in the prestigious Signature Series label! As always, come and see me AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE to make the arrangements for getting your books signed and verified/witnessed by an authentic Signature Series representative.

 

Remember - the books must be witnessed by an authorized CGC witness before they get submitted. DON'T bring your books to me AFTER they have been signed.

 

Signature Series member dealers on site who are accepting submissions in advance. Please contact them if you would like to send your books to them to get them signed for you (if you cannot attend WWLA):

CGC is proud to announce that the amazing team of the hit book New X-Men (Craig Kyle, Chris Yost & Mark Brooks) will be signing at the CGC booth (#425) on Saturday March, 18th at Wizard World Los Angeles!

 

Craig Kyle (co-writer X-23 & New X-Men), Chris Yost (co-writer X-23 & New X-Men) & Mark Brooks (artist Arana & New X-Men) will be signing at the CGC booth (#425) Saturday, March 18, from 2 pm to 3 pm. All comics signed by Craig, Chris, and Mark at the CGC booth will be eligible to receive the prestigious CGC Signature Series label.

 

Authorized CGC witnesses will be on hand to accept signed books. Only comic books submitted immediately after the signing will be given CGC's Signature Series label. Comic books submitted anytime after the signing will not be eligible for the CGC Signature Series authentication.

Well, he didn't do many sketches at the booth signing, but what he did was outstanding (maybe two or three head sketches on some comics).

 

Very nice guy, quite talented. I'm sure he'll do something nice for you Jason... the colour (!) Spider-Man sketch he did on a copy of Ultimate Spider-Man Annual #1 was spectacular... or was it amazing? sensational?

Did the sharpie start to fade, like they usually do on those glossy Ultimate covers?

Seemed to be okay, he went over the blacks a few times. He would go over them, let them dry and sign a bit, then go back over them. In the end they were quite solid blacks. The paint pen didn't bead up at all.

I might post the full color princess leia sketch that mark did for me a while back. Mark is such a good guy and so talented. The Ultimate spiderman annual was actually for himself ( I gave the book to him already signed by bendis as a gift) I'll ask him to bring it to heroes con for me to take pictures. Everybody treat mark nice in toronto and don't take advantage of him.
