JLA CLASSIFIED: COLD STEEL ---A darn good read! *spoilers*

Just got done reading this two part story earlier today. Pretty darn good. The art is a bit different and works well with the story. This wasn't a straightforward save the innocent aliens from the big bad villian aliens. There were some good shades of grey there. No one is completely innocent in the situation and the JLA is split on their opinions as well which made it a more realistic interaction. I do recommend everyone that likes the JLA to give this one a chance. I mean, c'mon, you've got the JLA and giant freaking robots! That alone should be enough for anyone! Just wanted to know everyone else's opinion on this one.

Wow, I'm really surprised. This book looked pretty super par. Didn't care for the art much either. But if it comes recommended, I will give it a shot.

I read it on the advice of my LCS owner. It's not something that I would normally buy due to the art, which looked horrid.

 

However, I actually enjoyed reading it. I would recommend it to others. Even had a nice touch of humor between Flash and GL.

Yeah, that was my feeling to start with. But I picked it up for the heck of it and really enjoyed the story. No, the art isn't revolutionary by any stretch, but it works well with this story. The story telling is paced well and enjoyable. My only complaint would be that the ending could have been better, it felt a little rushed/forced to me but that could be just me. Now, as I think of it while writing, I can see what he was trying to get to. So it may just be up to individual tastes.
